Wishing you a Blessed Christmas!
« on: December 25, 2009, 07:00:14 AM »
Hope each one of you will have a blessed Christmas with the full realization of Christ coming to earth, dying for our sins, conquering death by rising from the dead, and going back to heaven in bodily form so that He could return in the form of the Holy Spirit to be a Constant Companion to each one of us at the same time!

How are you spending Christmas this year?

Whether alone, with a few people, or with a crowd, my prayer is that your awareness will primarily be focused on celebrating Christ's birthday! May He bless you today with His Love, Joy, Peace and Purpose!

Went to Midnight Mass last night, not doing much of anything on Christmas Day as my family is still on their way to town.  "Christmas" will be celebrated on the 26th instead.

Going to go bake my nephew a birthday cake this afternoon -- he'll be 2 on the 26th.  It's a good thing he's still young, as my decorating abilities aren't so hot.  He won't care that "Happy Birthday" is in an uneven scribble across the top, he'll just see CAKE!!  ;)

Merry Christmas!

How did I spend Christmas?

Yesterday morning was cold with freezing rain, so our normal Christmas church service was canceled, because of danger of slick roads.  My mother and I spent the morning at home, and I enjoyed sewing on a comfort top I am trying to finish as a gift (not specifically a Christmas gift, but something I have been wanting to do for someone).  At noon we walked next door to my aunt's house and shared dinner with her.  One of her grandsons also lives nearby, and he and his wife and son were with us.

Temperatures warmed to above freezing in the later part of the day.  So my brother and his family came to eat supper and spend the evening with us as planned.

I am THANKFUL for the coming of Jesus to earth and the salvation He brought us.  And I am also thankful for the blessings of family and friends.

P.S.  We had a big snow a week ago, and a lot is still on the ground.  That gave us the first white Christmas day we have had for quite a while.
