I might as well start with an aside:
 Speaking for the firefox web browser;
 bookmarking the
secure https link
seems to work for me now, incase you
want a little privacy from network neighbors
who have too much time on their hands,
especially for log in or posting.

The computational overhead is higher for the server,
 and for your system,
but I think its justified especially when an upload is in progress.

Sure seems like Holy Scripture emphasises
"living long" and
"length of days" and
 the good of being
"an hundred years old".

And yet there's also this oppressive
"over the hill" kind of thinking that oozes from our society.

If you visit average "singles" websites the default cut-off
 mentality seems to be 35,
so much so that older visitors post profiles in far fewer numbers.
Considering the demographic at the moment,
I'd expect the opposite to be true.

Anyone know any scriptures to battle this attitude?

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.  Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.  They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;" --Psalm 92:13, 14

When you refer to "singles" web sites, I'm not sure if you have in mind ones like this site or those geared to match-making.  I haven't visited any of that kind, so I can't speak for those.  But from the standpoint of discussion sites like this one, might one factor be that younger singles tend to still be struggling more with singleness issues, and seek out such a site for encouragement?

Possibly more older singles have come to a place where they don't see singleness itself as being such a large issue. They are busy living life, and might be less likely to specifically look for a singles site.

 Grand scripture CR.

I know it isnt easy to summarize what brings about the
denegration against "past their prime" singles.

Perhaps even discussing it needs a more positive thrust,
to counteract the impetus it carries.

I suppose I mainly want to expose that,
inspite of the fact that it happens,
that older folks hold a huge percentage of the aces
according to scripture; and that the looking back
is an anchor that can only drag us down.

So... how about piping up about personally known orphanages? :)

...Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me:
 and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me;
for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
... -Luke 9:48
...Suffer the little children to come unto me,
and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
-Mark 10:14
