Let me just offer you some words of encouragement from a 41 year old, never married woman. I know what it's like to struggle with loneliness. I know what it's like to feel like you're missing out on something wonderful. I know what it's like to ask God over and over again for years to provide you with a husband and yet, still none. I know what it's like to worry about what will happen as I grow old and who I will spend my life with. I've been angry with God many times because my dream of having a wonderful husband and 6 children is slowly fading away.
It's hard to look around and see families, so happy, spending time together, growing together, loving each other. It's even harder this time of the year, with Christmas and New Years behind us but still facing the dreaded Valentine's Day wondering why, once again, we are spending it without a husband.
I don't understand why God has chosen this path for my life. It's not what I wanted, but He knows what is best. I remember a song by Kathy Troccoli that talks about our lives being in His hands. I'm so thankful it is, because I mess it up too much.
I have been trying to learn a new verse each week and for the coming weeks I'm going to focus on one I found in Isaiah54:5
For your Maker is your husband-the Lord Almighty is His name-the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.

Please take encouragement from this verse as I am. The LORD Almighty is our husband! We may not have an earthly one, but we have one that will never leave us, never fail us, never stop loving us. He can provide for us more than we can ever imagine and can give us what no human can. Please let this verse soak in and realize how much the God of the universe loves you and has the best plans possible for you!
Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope."

He love us, He loves YOU!!!! Please take comfort in that!
